Band / Artist development & mentoring
We can work more intensively with established bands and artistes to further develop skills and to give additional guidance. Through developing an action plan we can support musicians to set their own goals and discover a path to achieve them. We can also work on preproduction elements to develop and define a distinct style. This activity is generally suitable for one band/artiste per session. Our experience ranges from developing beginners and ‘grass-roots' musicians to producing professional acts. > TOP

Unsigned bands
The wealth of music activity throughout the North of England starts with the huge ‘grass-roots’ scene of people young and old picking up an instrument for the first time and delving into a great new world. This in turn develops into a deeper interest where a talent is developed to the point of performing and recording.
The music industry in recent years has been increasingly recognising the local music activities throughout the UK rather than those just in London. This has been highlighted by acts such as the Kaiser Chiefs (Leeds), Futureheads (Sunderland), Maximo Park (Newcastle), Arctic Monkeys (Sheffield).

 |
The increasingly popular DIY ethos of bands and artistes allows them to gain success without the traditional and often trapping route of signing to a record company. The professional, semi-pro, amateur and ‘wannabe’ musicians in the North of England require suitable resources to help develop their talents and produce quality recordings. Blinded by Sound works with bands and artistes to make the most of what they already do and to develop them further to help them achieve their goals. We produce commercial quality recordings that can be used either for promotion or release purposes. We can offer supportive rates to enable unsigned bands and artistes to access our recording and production services. > TOP |
